Ambassador FAQ & Guidelines
What do Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors are:
- Expected to act appropriately as they are representatives of Game Summit
- Expected to maintain confidentiality with any information received at Game Summit
- Not permitted to make any statements or actions that would affect Game Summit, including, but not limited to, statements to the public and/or press, agreements (contractual, financial or otherwise)
- Assigned different responsibilities throughout the weekend and though all jobs may not seem exciting, all are equally important
- Expected to perform their requested duties to the best of their abilities. If for any reason volunteers are unable to do what is asked of them, please inform the Supervisor so that other arrangements can be made
- Not guaranteed to work in a specific area or zone. Some duties will be specific to an area or zone, while others will deal with the overall event
How much time do I have to give?
- A minimum of 4 hours of volunteering is requested
- Ambassadors are free to participate in the activities of the Game Summit before and after their scheduled duties.
Am I eligible?
- Volunteers aged 16 and up only.
- You MUST be willing to COMPLETE and carry out duties assigned to you.
- Volunteers MUST be available for Ambassador meetings before the event.
What is the dress code?
- Ambassadors are asked to dress casually, but appropriately. No ripped jeans, short shorts or skirts, etc.
- A Game Summit shirt and badge will be provided at the event to be worn during your shift.
- To be courteous to co-workers and patrons, Ambassadors will practice clean personal hygiene. Please avoid using excessive amounts of perfumes, colognes and/or hairsprays that may cause a problem for allergy sufferers.
- The GAME SUMMIT reserves the right to dismiss any Ambassador whom they feel does not adhere to the guidelines set out by the Game Summit, and/or who fails to satisfactorily complete their duties.
