CONVERSION GUIDELINES
I am a little loser with the conversion guidelines than the Steamroller rules. To be a legal conversion, a model must meet the following criteria:
1 - model must be on the correct sized base
2 - the model the conversion is representing must have an official release date that is on or before the date of the tournament
3 - the model must have the correct weapons clearly represented on the model, so if the stock model comes with a sword and a gun, then the conversion must have a sword and a gun, it could not, for example, have an axe and a gun
4 - for warjacks/warbeasts, all weapons must be in the correct hands
5 - I need to do a final check to make sure that the conversion is unmistakable for anything else in the army, and can be easily identified by an opponent. Even if the conversion follows all the above rules, if it could represent one of several different models it will likely not be allowed. However, if all of the above are followed, it should be ok.

It is always a good idea to bring an unmodified version of the model that a conversion is to represent in case your conversion does not meet these requirements. I am happy to look at conversions well in advance, so if anyone wants to check that any of their convesions are fine, please feel free to send me a PM with pictures of their conversions, and what faction they are from.

Does your army need to be painted?

Yes, for all Game Summit Tournaments the armies need to be painted. Plus side Warmahordes uses a much smaller number of models on average then some of the other tournaments we are hosting and so faster to get painted.

Any reason why you will be using SR2011 instead of the SR2012 that's coming out any day now ?

Two reasons, mostly related to the timing of the release of SR 2012. We needed to start advertising before the new rules were released, and since there is only a month between the release of 2012 and GS, I decided to go with the 2011 rules since that would be what most people are more familiar with and I already have templates for all of the objectives and scoring zones necessary for 2011.

And now a minor correction:

As we realise that Warmahordes traditionally does not have a painting requirement for the bulk of its tournaments we will be adjusting our policy on fully painted armies for this tournament. As such, you may enter this tournament with an army that is not fully painted.

We do encourage you to still fully paint your army, for two reasons:
1. It just looks that much better on the table
2. We will be awarding a best painted prize to the best fully painted army in the tournament.

As we can bring two lists with Steamroller 2011, is the Best Painted prize awarded for the whole army, or is each list considered separately?

Judging will be based on of your submitted lists, your choice which. Your second list will may be considered if there is any ties.

The link you provide in both the above post and on the summit registration for the Steamroller rules doesn't work. May I please have a copy of said rules?

Thanks
