Some two or three months ago when I had taken my first exploratory steps into 40k, I landed on a wiki called 1d4chan. I read a few of their articles, very reluctantly due to the instant gag reflex I have developed with 4chan-related browsing, but I then ended up reading every single Tactics article they have there, absorbing the information hungrily. At first I was impressed with what I though was a wealth of tactical advice and general 40k wisdom, but it gradually became obvious that the wiki is written by a proper collection of half-witted powergamers sharing the same disturbing obsessions of their "colleagues" on all the chan boards, namely incessant and exaggerated vulgarity, infantile assertiveness, and a rather abusive relationship with the thing they should cherish. It doesn't take long to realize that "take this unit because it's strong, don't take that unit because it sucks" is not tactics, and "this new stuff I read sucks because me and two other guys didn't like it" is not analysis. It's psycho-babble, topped with more of the same. That being said, a good 20% of what I've read there was actually correct and helpful, but I have since found out that most of it is easy to deduce by simply reading the rulebook and playing the game. I also don't care for all of their bitching.
