I would actually prefer it if the game worked that way. I hate TLoS.

I would also like to point out that I would never ever play with a ruin that doesnt have at least once entrance.... I wouldnt place my models in there....since theres no way in. a typical ruin is a corner or facade that has two or more floors with one or more sides that are dilapidated. the point we are making is that you have to A)go through the door or B) go around the back. this doesnt mean, however, that a rhino can go through the door...

Maybe that's why I'm having such difficulty following this discussion. I've never played with ruins that weren't completely dilapidated, they only had one or two corners of a building and for every intact section, there was a gaping hole no more than 2 inches to either side. 'Melting" through such a wall gains you maybe an inch to your overall movement and even at that, the wall portions were never so high that a person couldn't conceivably hop it anyways.

it makes a difference, trust me. you would have to think in advance and try to get around the side of the building, thus negating my cover (because I dont like area terrain) and making it into cc with most all of your models, as apposed to 2 or 3. if you melt, you just button-mash your way through the terrain on the table in a straight line and get everything for nothing.
