Fantastic read, I encourage all to check it out.

Talks about the importance of proper terrain and especially big LOS blockers.
Cinematic.... Narrative....

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

This is actually really well done. I think more terrain that blocks LOS is an answer to helping the balance in 40k. Guard gun lines will have a lot less potency with lots of places for units to advance unseen. PLus the GW bastions fill this role really well, especially when both players can agree to use them as impassible terrain.

Great article. Glad you linked cause I kinda stopped reading BoLS and so I'm probably missing whatever good content they post. Much appreciated.

I like. This isn't new for me, as my board at home always has about 35% terrain covering it, and about half of that is buildings :D

PS - A good trick I find to get good terrain cover, is to not count hills. They are more just part of the board :D

I'm unable to read up on the link as its blocked and DND clarifys it as "game"

Anyhow just the subject title alone I can agree with at least 25% terrian.

Actually the core rules and every single codex in existence is written with these sort of setups as an assumption. I always laugh at people who complain about leaf blower guard armies since they really aren't that powerful unless you are playing on a near empty table. The article essentially just points out how important the rules that are already in the rule book are to game balance.

Buildings and obsticles can be a double edge sword though, sure you got Tau and Eldar (and maybe dark eldar if im not mistaken) can move, shot and double back, where others have to force a funnel into the line of fire which is great <3 However for a city battle though what would be consider a good percent as I cant seee if the article states that at this time :(
