Just thought I'd throw this out there for u Jordan. With only 2 scoring units, for u to get a major win, ull need to ensure you have both warrior units alive and on objectives everygame. Anf your opponent getting no objectives. Could be a little difficult. Although I love all the scourges.

Aside from the Raider pivot, which I know a lot of people find questionable, what is so disgusting about that?

So maybe I should stick with my mostly-painted Blood Angels and just touch them up this time around - I'd probably require way too much new stuff to optimize the DE list for the CiA Cup. My two Tactical, two Assault list should come in handy then.

Thanks for all the constructive criticism, guys! Watch for a Blood Angels list soon!

I wouldn't look in disgust since I would be able to see that coming a mile away. I asked because I didn't know if there was some odd rules lawyering going on or if it was really that simple. I don't even consider the raider pivot to be that bad since if the opponent steals the initiative that raider is screwed and it's obvious what you are doing. You would only do this if you had a good chance of going first which means you are generally also deploying first. The first 12" skimmer movement ignores terrain but the rest of it doesn't so proper deployment taking advantage of the scenery (if there is enough which in some games there isn't) can wreck or at least nerf this tactic.

I'd say it's a little cringe worthy because you are seeking to gain an unfair advantage to do something you aren't meant to do, i.e using the pivot to gain extra inches, using the bases to gain an extra inch ect. While not against the rules as written it is 100% against the *spirit* of the rules. If you're ok with that fine, to each his own, but if someone did that to me on the otherside of the table I would reconsider playing them in the future.

I'm only really talking tournament games though since it was a list for the CiAC. In a friendly game it would be somewhat of a dick move.

I dunno, you can't change the fact that its a long vehicle.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

And I get that, but it's like looking across the table at your opponent and saying "What I'm about to do is technically legal, but bends the rules, and the purpose of the rules so that I am able to shove this unit down your throat on the first turn...oh and by the way, have fun!"

Just seems to take the idea of "Game" and "Fun" out of it and insert "win at all costs", but again, to each his own, maybe I'm just being too sensitive and these kind of tactics are expected/welcomed.

sadly unless the vehicle is a sphere, there's going to be some advantage in turning it before moving to gain range.
