Archon w/ Combat Drugs Joining Unit Without Them

I've been wondering about something for a while, and I hope you rules gurus can help me clear it up.

I run my Archon with nine Incubi. If I give the Archon access to combat drugs, does he confer the effects of whichever combat drug has been rolled to the unit he joined if it does not have the combat drugs rule already?

Please excuse my ignorance if it's already been FAQ'd.

It would be nice if they FAQ'd it but the rule says only the unit with the drugs is affected by them. Since the archon is an IC he's a unit of one.

I think the idea is that units with combat drugs are under the influence before the game begins, not that they're handing out the drugs to units they join. And since the effects are in place for the whole game it doesn't make sense if the units he joins gain and lose the effects as he joins/leaves them.

That seems to make the most sense to me too.

"Here's the drugs guys, go carve up those marines."

"Ok they're dead? Now give the drugs back, I wanna give em to someone else now."
