So weapon 7 has a 6x higher chance of being picked. Now it'll be argued if weapon 7 is the demolisher cannon or the heavy stubber

Another case of GW really not thinking things through.

it does say equal groups. I believe when it says (as near this as you can), it means as near equal as you can. so yeah, the groups will be 3 and 4.

Exactly ... I'm not sure people even read rules anymore or when they do they purposely ignore portions of the sentence.

Erm, read the rule again. Equal groups of six or less. So, divvy it up into a group of 3 and a group of 4, roll to see the group, and then roll as per normal.
40K Armies Played: Space Wolves, Space Sharks, Orks, Tau, eventually CSM (MSons + Bile)
Blood Bowl: Ought'Ta WAAAGH Roughriderz (Orcs), The North Spire Wendigoes (Norse) Iron-Wrath Krakens (Chaos Dwarfs, WIP), Scarlet Fliers (Dark Elves, WIP)
Heavy Gear Blitz/Arena: Peace River Defence Force, Paxton Gears in Arena
Necromunda: MacGuffin's Marauders (Van Saar)
Malifaux:Built: C.Hoffman Boxed: Rasputina, Pertitia, some extra models for both

(I'm Mike, by the way. Easier to remember than Tokkan, probably. DEFINITELY easier to pronounce)

i wonder why GW would say to use this meathod which does not provide a completely random result 100% of the time while roling for each weapon or model and re-rolling ties does result in a result that is exactly as random as a Dice can provide..

Strange.. only thing i can think of is that likely the splitting method would be slightly faster especially with a large group of models..

I would drop a brick on the model.. and the weapons that fly off the table the farthest are the ones counted as destroyed :)

you could always just bring tokens with numbers on them or even the name of the weapon, throw 'em in a bag and ask the opponent to pick one out. i mean it's not that hard if you know you'll have one Russ with 3 weapons, you bring 3 tokens with each weapon's name on it.

this way your opponent can't complain about being fair, since you are being fair.

and if someone wants to go as far as saying i would know the little imperfections thus giving me an unfair advantage (similar to having one card in Magic with a bent corner, making it obvious what card it was), then maybe you shouldn't play those people. hahaha

hope this helps!

Or you could get people to drop your battlewagon on the ground after any pen and decide accordingly
