There is a conflict. It's pretty obvious of a conflict at that.

at least quote the whole sentence please. I was SAYING there was no conflict. that last post wasn't a reaffirmation of my opinion, I was clarifying my previous statement, which you took to mean that I was suggesting codex in some way does Not trump rulebook.

By quoting it is automatically implying that you said it. By quoting that you said something is like saying "natesnation said said such and such."

You said (regardless of how I quote it) that there is no conflict in the rules. I pointed out that there is a pretty glaring conflict in the rules. I could have made the same comment without quoting you at all and just imply that your previous post was the one to which I was referring.

In the end it all boils down to two options, use the codex rule as it states codex trumphs the core rules, or run with the rule book.

For now Eisengrim I can only suggest to go with the codex ruling. its a tough call what a tourny setup will do, again your best bet would be to call head of time on that one and go from there.

How is it so much better than before? Now the most common save is 5+ so it's upgraded to 4+ but in 5th ed it was 4+ upgraded to 3+. Sure it's easier to get cover saves now with 25% instead of 50% coverage but the save is also reduced by a point. I don't see it becoming really popular all of a sudden even with 6th ed cover rules.
