Last Minute GM Painting Bumrush

Postby Matt Varnish » Sat Aug 14, 2010 2:47 pm

I was losing sleep last night, thinking I wouldnt get stuff done, so at 6 am, started more painting. The wife unit has a tonne of stuff lined up today too for some reason" But your tournament isnt until tomorrow!!" hahahah

Back to action, downing the last ten hormagaunts before heading out tonite, then more painting when we get back from seeing Bill Murray's latest movie.

Anyone else going to be burning the midnite oil>?

Currently doing some extra work on my KoS and my deamonettes at the moment.

Also have 3 seekers left to assemble.

I need to glue my bikers to their bases, attach the heavy bolters to their models, and do the shoulder pad of one more assault blood claw. Otherwise, I'm set!
40K Armies Played: Space Wolves, Space Sharks, Orks, Tau, eventually CSM (MSons + Bile)
Blood Bowl: Ought'Ta WAAAGH Roughriderz (Orcs), The North Spire Wendigoes (Norse) Iron-Wrath Krakens (Chaos Dwarfs, WIP), Scarlet Fliers (Dark Elves, WIP)
Heavy Gear Blitz/Arena: Peace River Defence Force, Paxton Gears in Arena
Necromunda: MacGuffin's Marauders (Van Saar)
Malifaux:Built: C.Hoffman Boxed: Rasputina, Pertitia, some extra models for both

(I'm Mike, by the way. Easier to remember than Tokkan, probably. DEFINITELY easier to pronounce)

alright well painting some models I came upon the perfect scheme as its super easy to do quick and looks awesome but I'll have to start over.

still no biggy I should have most if not all my deamonettes painted with the new scheme tonight and KoS almost done.

essentially I came up with a way to get white skin on my deamonettes the way I have in mind and its super easy 1 wash of badabblack and 3 to 4 dry brush coat of skull white and it looks GREAT.

As for the deamonettes clothes I plan to alter the color a bit for every couple deamonettes so a couple with red some blues some green and so forth I like the idea of having lots of color in this army.

As for the hair/horm/tendrils and claws I just put 2 wash of badab black and that's it.

its simple but simple plans are the best as they have less things that can go wrong.

To finish:
- Nine Fences
- Two big hills
- One cathedral
- One barn

I'm not sure the barn is gonna make it.

I actually finished that weird Goblin Teepee thing from the Skull Pass kit. It's pretty neat looking once it's painted up!

Lucky for me I've been finished for awhile. (See here http://thefallenprinces.blogspot.com/20 ... ready.html) Glad I was because these last 2 weeks have been manically busy.
