ForgeWorld begins Orcs & Goblins

Postby KrysDagger » Mon Feb 06, 2012 4:46 pm

Hey all,

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/O ... _IDOL.html

The rules are kind of cool ... and if that base is in fact the same as the Anaroch that is a big collection of boulders and dung :) ...

I saw it too and it does sound ok and the model looks cool but it seems to not be worth a buy since you could easily recreate it with foam as it is just a pile of rocks in humanoid form.

Ya Im liking the stats but what choice does it take place in your army? Rare? Or is this based on a grand army somehow where this sort of thing doesn't matter? Either way it's pretty cool.

Apparently it is for the next Forgeworld Fantasy book .. which is good news because I need more orc stuff and higher prices :) ..

friendly games I would take it as a rare I guess. It costs a lot, has fewer attacks than an Anarock, and can be kited .. so it is probably not to unbalanced, and if it is then I guess we just bump the cost in friendly games.

Deffently would not be hard to get a thick piece of foam board, draw a shape, then cut out then carve and add some orcy bits, may look like utter fecal in comparison but would do the job. :D

Well, they DID say that the Idols are made from "rock, dung, old battle trophies and other detritus", so looking like crap is a bonus! *grin*

I just wonder if Gork and Mork take part in a screaming competition to see who gets to win Rogue Idol.
40K Armies Played: Space Wolves, Space Sharks, Orks, Tau, eventually CSM (MSons + Bile)
Blood Bowl: Ought'Ta WAAAGH Roughriderz (Orcs), The North Spire Wendigoes (Norse) Iron-Wrath Krakens (Chaos Dwarfs, WIP), Scarlet Fliers (Dark Elves, WIP)
Heavy Gear Blitz/Arena: Peace River Defence Force, Paxton Gears in Arena
Necromunda: MacGuffin's Marauders (Van Saar)
Malifaux:Built: C.Hoffman Boxed: Rasputina, Pertitia, some extra models for both

(I'm Mike, by the way. Easier to remember than Tokkan, probably. DEFINITELY easier to pronounce)

Just like at the start of ASDF 4!

I got some old Foam kicking around, should do one up in my spare time, then get flagged full of lame mail at how horrible of a job I did
