No. You just have to remember to include DS in your name when you sign up. I didn't remember.

Not to mention you get ten free tokens if you sign up with your DS name.

Shit-sandwitch! I didn't know that...
I believe George Takai put it best when he said "Oh my".

Ok, let me say a few things about that.

I don't remember advertising it as a free event. If you can tell me where I did, I'll reverse the charge. With pleasure.

Secondly, the tokens are two dollars. If you can't spare two dollars, are you really in the position to spend anything at all?

I also posted quite clearly a while ago how Deep Space users could take advantage of the Deep Space deal. Lots and lots of people have done it successfully. I asked for this one thing: To tag your name with "-DS" just so I can properly sort it in the database and, thereby, I don't have to stand at registration all day telling the staff "Yes, this guy is from Deep Space" every time someone walks up. I know you all read this forum (that's kind of the point of making the discount available for you)... so how much further should I have gone to let you know?

So look: If you all take into consideration that we are renting the hall, building custom tables, shlepping them there, organizing the game and even paying the catering to stay open and you still thing two dollars is too much... speak to me personally about it and I'll waive your fee.

Good?

p.s. Jason, I told you I'd buy your token for you, so... what's your issue?

Okay well I wasnt trying to raise a big stink here. First off, I went to the game summit website before I posted to see if there was a price listed for this event, and there is not. I checked the whole topic, and there is no mention of a fee. Secondly, my ride isnt going to stay all night, and I have some other people that want to play me that night. Im sorry, I should have made my post more pleasant. I didnt want to have to explain all this. also, I dont have the privelige of using the internet all the time so I didnt see the -DS thing in time.

EDIT: I have edited my post as what I said was rash and not thought through. I apologize Corey and I hope you can eventually forgive me.

Ok, the last thing I want is bad feelings. The Apocalypse game will be free, then.

Not that I care I'd pay 2$ to play with my friends. But there was originally no tokens by the game when I checked as well.

Since I'm only probably going to be play that one game I have no need of 9 other tokens so i'll just pay the 2$ bucks :)

Yeah nothing like popping my apocalypse cherry with a 20k game....

Quick tip... Get yourself a Game Summit postcards from GW, Comic Book Shoppe, Wizards Tower, Toys on Fire, any of the other locations or from Corey, when you return one of these cards at the event during your registration, you get 2 additional free tokens with your entrance fee (offer is available once per gamer)!

So I goofed. I said something stupid and im sorry. I didnt read everything and I blew it. I want to apologize, again, here to Corey. Thats what I get for skimming, my foot in my mouth.

That said, I still must resign from this game, for the other reasons I listed above... as well as I feel I dont deserve to play in it anymore
