Smoke Templates (Now Ready)

A game for those who like their World War II re-enactments very, very small.

Smoke Templates (Now Ready)

* Please feel free to delete the other post regarding this - I didn't want to hide the completed template.

The template took a lot of hours in design time, but I think in the end the results speak for themselves.

Some details:
Function:
a) Two removable template tops (open, and closed)
b) Tab and slot locators for the templates
c) Connections tab for the linking of multiple templates
d) Completely disassembles for storage and transport
e) Four (4) Supportive legs allow the template to free stand while still minimizing the footprint on the table
f) Arched walls to allow the template to straddle models

Game Play:
a) In game the template can easily be positioned above the target area with both tops in place.
b) Should the player desire they can then easily remove the closed top to reveal the models inside the template (the bottom open top remains in place for support)
c) If the player requires more then one template - a second, or third template can be added to anyone of the four sides and easily secured using the joining tab
d) At any point the closed top can easily be placed back into position atop the template (both tops fit on the stucture at the same time)

Measurements: (Current Version Imperial, Metric is coming soon)
a) The template is constructed so that when viewed at eye level, all models below the height of the open top are 2" or under, those protruding are above 2" (thus out of the smoke)
b) Top Template measures 6" x 6" to the outer edge, the open and closed top (template size is 6" x 6")
c) When placed side by side templates measure: 6" x 12" (2 template), 6" x 18" (3 templates)

Looks:
a) Constructed using 3mm Acrylic (durable and light weight)
b) Location guides for ease of alignment and bombardment use. Central redicle and 3" and 5” circle.
c) Transparent Acrylic for vision aid
d) Dual template design for ease of game use and model access during game play
e) Decorative etching to enhance look of the template

I'd look at getting one or two -- really like the smoky grey in the pictures. Not sure if the closed top is needed (would have to see what the extra features would be) or if you need 11 colours (wondering about manufacturing / supply costs).

Nice design... looks like there are strong connections/edges while still having space to go over models!

now time to glue clump foliage on it and paint it up like your explosion markers!!

Looks good, though I like my corner markers that fit in my case nice and easily.

Are the corner markers individual, I know a lot that would take issue unless you measure when to exactly 6" square. Case in point check the forums as people are arguing metric v. imperial being slightly off. As for fitting in the bag, the corners are hook and slide so it packs flat, only a few more pieces. The two tops will come in the package. Open top for smoke - repeated bombardments. Whereas the closed top will have a centering point and wind direction marks. Production is already set up and the 11 colours is a stock item for various other products we are developing, or are developed. So supply issues at all. I am perhaps thinking of not going to nationals but I might - wife likely will not travel down so hotelling solo might be more then I want to spend.

What about shipping >3 units? At those prices it would make sense to order in bulk.

(he says not knowing the exchange rate)
