Reaper Minis Kickstarter

Reaper Minis Kickstarter

Postby Titivillus » Thu Aug 16, 2012 6:09 pm

Some of you likely know this already, but Reaper Minis has launched a Kickstarter to expand their Bones line of plastic minis, adding sculpts from their Dark Heaven, Chronoscope, and Pathfinder (so far) lines. It is a very good deal at the Vampire ($100) level: 137 models (and counting) with free shipping and lots of excellent add-ons ($25 cases, paints, big dragons, etc.).

If you are a skirmish gamer or an RPGer (or you just like to paint lots of minis), check it out: Linky

There are 8 days left and watching the stretch goals get unveiled is a lot of fun (as they are essentially free models for your level support and the chance to buy some ridiculous big models for cheap--like 75% off the metal cost cheap).

If you are new to Kickstarter and don't know how it works, ask away here. It's pretty simple, but don't be afraid to ask.

This is interesting, thanks titivillus. I am not really interested in Bones, but Reaper supplied me with some sweet proxies for Ecclesiarchy Confessors, Crusaders, Sisters Superior, and in general they have some really pretty stuff.

I like the models for Mordheim proxies and others.

Plus, the deals is awesome: 170+ models for $100 (free shipping), and the general add ons (available to anyone who pledges a dollar) are equally good: cases for $25, paint sets for $1.5 per paint, etc., also with free shipping.

Anyway, there are 6 days left, so be sure to check it out!

I'm totally considering it... it's justifying the purchase that's the only problem.

It depends on what you will do with them. If you like painting or run an RPG with minis, it is a no-brainer. If you like skirmish fantasy games, it is also a good deal.

There is a trade thread on the Reaper forums, so if you want to drop some parts of the base minis for something else (ditch the Chronoscope stuff for more Pathfinder, for instance), you can also arrange that. It may push you over the edge into "justification." =)

Also, I should say that if you only want something from the set (or part of it), you could post here to see if someone has want you want/is willing to trade.
