How many sets is too many?

Here's the problem: The expansions are cool. (No,that's not the actual problem. Read on.) However, if you start mixing them all together, it quickly becomes very unwieldly, and with so many cards in the deck, chances are you may not come up with something decent for quite some time, while those around you luck out and get all the cool stuff, making the game very lopsided.
What would you say is the ideal number of expansions to use in a game? Personally I would say 2, maybe 3. Thoughts?

Ya I totally agree...2-3 tops...the original Munchkin with all the sets thrown in is oft exactly like u said. Lopsided...

Steeds, dungeons, rangers, new races too much IMHO and makes the game kinda drag.
I believe George Takai put it best when he said "Oh my".

I think 1 to 2 tops. Even 3 is way too many.
PLAYS: Daemons, Tomb Kings, Beastmen, Chaos Warriors, High Elves, Wood Elves (fantasy), Imperial Guard, Adeptus Titanicus (Epic), Eldar, Craftworld Eldar (BFG).
