Anyone out there interested in starting a Monthly 4.0 Group?

MandyL and I would love to try and get into a D&D group for 4th edition that plays on a someone consistant basis (1 or 2 a month) we were in one but it played maybe once a month... if we were lucky.

While neither of us are good DM's we are good team players (I normally end up playing a tank or healer type because nobody else wants too). I've always had a preference for a point system buy instead of rolling (That way people are somewhat in line with others, instead of 1 guy getting an 18, and a couple 16's turns himself into a stupidly huge damage dealer, and overshadows everyone)

We have all the books, and I come with 2 boxes of Mini's (There should be no wanting for orks as I have buckets of them)

It would have to be Friday or Saturday Nights (Easier for me to get my parents to watch my two daughters)

That could be interesting, and I love meeting new players, the styles are always different. For me monthly would certainly be best as well. I've been DMing for years too...

My only problem is I can only play on fridays right now, and I could only at my place, as I have to watch my 3 kids and my wife is away on fridays to her own DnD game.

I also have minis and a battlemat with dry erase markers.

I did get a PM on someone else being interested too... so that would be 3 players... even if people are new and want to get into the game would be a great time.

Long as everyone gets along and wants to play together as a team would be really fun

I have not really gamed with people I don't know before ... but hell MandyL and I are both looking to meet more people and couples who are into these hobbies so we're not always in our house!

I love playing, but I always end up DMing, but I'm okay with that, I love telling stories.

3 players is good. 4 wouldn't be too hard to find I'm sure.

Funny thing, is me it's my wife that introduced me to RPGs. lol. With the kids though we tend to alternate who goes out to play, but if she learns there's another couple playing at our house, she might ditch her usual game to play with us. lol.

I live in Gatineau though, I'm Corey's (Orbital101) neighbour. I think you guys are heading there soon, or so he mentionned, we could at leats say hi and discuss in more details when you do.

We were actually supposed to go there tonight but the bu... I mean plans changed But we should be heading over that way sometime soon.

So our night now is goign to Bayshore and having a game or two Should be fun hopefully her ork's won't beat me too bad about the head

Location doesn't mean much to me, as I have kids too I'm hoping I can get my Dad to do a sleep over once a month shouldn't be TOO hard.

June is good sure. We're gone for 2 weeks in July (1st - 14th)

I am serious.

It would be good to have 4 players.

I suggest we keep it to 1 friday a month (maybe 2) for the summer, and then in the fall if we all have the time, bring it up to every two weeks.
