Question: Playing at GW store at Bayshore

A place to ask "stupid questions" about the game, without looking stupid.

From my exp since moving up here, the GW store staff has a great attitude toward this. In return I like to help them out a bit by playing my unpainted/finished armies in the backroom =)

But honesty, they have been really cool about this issue. A nice change from what I was used to at other stores. It does give me more reason to spend time making my models look and feel how I want them to. Instead of slapping on quick paint jobs and zero conversion work. This makes me want to purchase more unit types and allows players to play with more variety of armies. Which we all know, variety is the spice of life.

Well MandyL and I went to bayshore with our half painted armies (Well hers is more like 10% painted :P) and we had to play at the front table.

We played for maybe an hour or so before we had to leave, it was nice met some nice folk who were just starting to play as well, got to see a nicely painted Necron Army. Didn't get any of the names of the new folk but really nice guys.

Had alot of fun and really hope to do it again soon :)

So true... You could start a "you might be a 40k player"

If your wife asks if its okay if her Nobz can fit in her looted wagon... you might be a 40k player.

Let alone one man to ask another about said nobz without attending a bar with a primarily homosexual demographic....

hmm, i'll have to give this a try now, but my army case is so big and isn't very well padded, and i'd have to take the bus...

But still the potential rewards. (i've been playing with some friends but you can only play against the same space marine/tyranid armies) on similar terrain.

But the shame of half painted armies, and the pain of public transportation with a huge tool box, and the paint of pieces breaking while moving, (or actually more when i unpack them) noooooooooooo.

Maybe one day i'll give it a try. I have a rather formidable list now.

Trent and I don't have any cases. We are using egg cartons to transport our guys in right now. Works good. :) Then everything goes into a rubbermaid bin and thats what Trent brings in. :)

That's hilarious. I've never seen you or Trent play, but I'd probably laugh at that sight.

I used to do something similar, except I had some foam that was shaped like egg cartons, and a Rubbermaid container. It was a strange and hilarious time.
