Everblight list-500pts

Okay there sa tourney at GS I'm going to try to attend, if I cant make that one I will make it at the next GS in the winter. My goal is a competitive list that is also cheap and fast to paint, I will ad latter on so I can trade in units.

What I want to know is does it look like a competitive list...

Caster:

Lilyth

Warbeasts:
4 x Shredder (lesser Wrbst)
1 x Carnivean (Heavy Wrbst)
1 x Angelus (Heavy Alpha Wrbst)

Units:
4 x raptors

the Raptors are 85 pts... am I better to trade thos e in for some other warbeats like a Raek and an extra Shredder? or Maybe a SEraph to go hunting with the Angelius?

Your list seems a pretty solid start but that's a lot of rage for Lilyth to have to manage already so I am not sure you want any more beasts... and maybe even one less. Though I guess as a managment strategy you can just point the shredders (except the one in reserve used for damage transfer) in the right direction so they don't see each other, let them fail fury checks, and hope they don't chomp on each other eventually.

I have no opinion on the Angelus as I have never faced it/seen it in action, but Seraph assasination runs are an absolute nightmare to have to protect against. The Carny is a good beat stick so no worries there. I would definitely keep the Raptors. Their hit and run tactics are very frustrating to have to face and they should make up their points most games or at least achieve some board control.

What I am thinking is maybe you could try dropping one shredder and downgrading the Angelus to a Seraph, and using the extra points for some infantry. Don't have the costs in front of me, by some swordsman and swamp gobbers might work.

The Angelius is great especially when under Saeryn due to Respawn.
It's a great warbeast on it's own, but since it's so big being an Alpha and all, it becomes a magnet for attacks.

Raptors as Snarl mentioned... sooo good for hit and run, just LOVE them.

I haven't played with them much yet, but an other option, especially in a 500pts game... Lesser Warlocks... they're solos so they don't count as a warlock, but have their own warbeast and spells... Legion has access to Rorsh & Brine which I have and like quite a bit and Wrong Eye & Snapjaw... who doesn't love Louisiana voodoo gators?

But personally, I'd definitely try to get some troops in there, alot of the scenarios for the tournament require you to hold objectives, and any warbeast that has gone wild can not control the objective.
