As you guys know, Game Summit is coming up in about 30 days... and we're hoping to see most of you there on at least one of the two days. As is our custom, we're offering a little deal for folks who participate in this forum as a way of saying "Thank You" for your support and to sweeten the pot a little.

If you head over to registration, you'll see that we're not just offering a discount on pre-registering, but also on tokens. What are tokens good for? It's a lot like going to the fair: You use tokens to buy admission to things or pay for activities. Here's the deal: Deep Spacers who pre-register for either the 40k or the Fantasy tournaments (or both) will receive 10 additional tokens from us as a gift. In other words: You'll buy twenty tokens, but you'll get thirty. This will let you do things like attend seminars at the Workshop, play additional games, participate in other Game Summit events.

Here are the two things you need to know:
1. When registering on the above-linked page, put your handle in and add "-DS" to the end of it (for instance, my handle would be Orbital101-DS). This helps us to parse out who gets to enjoy the deal. Don't worry if you've already pre-registered: Drop me an email or PM and I'll make sure you're eligible as well.
2. This only applies if you pre-register and pay in advance. In other words, registering and then showing up on the spot will not allow you to be included in the deal.

So... I know most of you monkeys are planning to go to one tournament or the other: Pre-reg now and let us shower you in tokens as a way of saying "Thanks"!

so i might be mistaken but if someone only wanted to do just the two tournaments with this deal then if they registered for a gamer weekend pass(with 2 free tokens), bought another 28 tokens, then added their 10 free ones from this promotion, and provided they registered by august 10th they would only have to pay $59 for the 2 tournaments rather then $74, is this correct or have i misunderstood the deal your providing?

Here's how it'll work:

You get your free tokens after you've signed in at the event paid for everything. Go to registration... check in... pay if you have to pay... get all your confirmations, etc... and then you get your tokens. Whatever you just paid for, you can't turn around and re-apply your tokens to it.

So, with that logic, you can apply your tokens from Saturday if you register for the tournament on Sunday, but the tokens you get after you're registered on Sunday can't be applied to whatever you registered for before you got them.

Does that make sense?

right so prepay for a weekend pass and 30 tokens show up Saturday get 30 tokens/pass register for the Warhammer tournament with 20 tokens get 10 back as per special offer then use those 20 to register/pay or whatever for 40k tournament the next day and then have 10 tokens for <insert name here>, so $59 for two tournaments and 10 tokens of other such things, that is if i correctly understand what your saying, sounds like a pretty decent bargain from what i see, if your a deep space member who plans to go to both tournaments.
