Ok so the Tricksy Trinket says that "models in base contact with the bearer (friend or foe) may not take ward saves" does that mean that the model carrying it may not either or can he?

My guess would be is that he can. I'm pretty sure that when it says models that are in base to base contact take a hit (Warrior priest Soulfire for eg) that the model itself does not. So I would assume that your model can still take his ward save.

Besides, how could he be in base-to-base contact with himself?
