I managed to get this model based, so I thought I'd just post a couple of new pics to prove it.

I tried to go for a sort of beach/surf kind of look, though I'm not so convinced it was successful. I may eventually strip off the sand, and try again.

Edit:
You'll notice that the eyes are rather horrid. I got the blacks in, for the pupils... but I simply couldn't get the whites on properly. I even repeatedly painted white onto the skin, and then had to try and fix it with my limited GW skin tones (and I mean limited... I have Tanned Flesh, and that's it. I never paint faces....) The same actually goes for the black as well, now that I see it so large :S:S Well, I guess eyes are certainly one area where I need a tonne of improvement :(

Alright then...

Thanks to the input from another forum, I made some modifications and I believe I've improved her somewhat (especially the eyes).

The eyes are much better, and mixing some paints into the gloss has gone a long way to improving the frothy look of the water.

Also, here's a sneak peak at my Eldar Vypers, which I'm painting (very, very slowly) for my converted Eldar army. Hopefully I'll have them finished by the end of the month?

The surf base is very cool.
