Flames of War at Gamesummit... Gauging Interest

Postby Matt Varnish » Mon Dec 06, 2010 7:59 pm

Hey gang, the FoW bug has hit a bunch of us, and I'd like to guage what the interest level would be for playing some FoW at Game Summit.

As it stands, we can play FoW on any of the 'Open Gaming" tables at Game Summit on Saturday. IF enough people show interest and actually SHOW UP and play, perhaps we can get the powers that be to get us a dedicated table, so it would be something like " from 10-12, FoW on a few tables"

We (Drunken Gamers blog guys) will have enough scenery for one table, but I hope there are folks out there who could bring more if we get the table space alotted.

Please reply here if you'd like to play Flames of War on Saturday of GameSummit (keep in mind this is during the WFB tourney)

Thanks... Hope my Brits will be assembled in time, perhaps even a tank squadron painted!!!!!

Count me in!

I can provide some terrain and hope to have my 7th Panzer Division up to 1500pts by Game Summit time!

Just FYI: Terrain has to be painted and assembled properly, though models do not.

And here:

More specifically re. FoW at Game Summit:

As well as here (where most people seem to post):
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OttawaMiniaturesGamers/

Would the games be mostly mid-war? Given what is available in late-war, a free-for-all between late-war and early-war would probably not be all that much fun for the early-war players...

Awesome, when I get home from work tonite I;ll get the links going, but real fast: Yeah Mid war seems to be the consensus to be the best time period. Another thing is this: FOr now, I think this will be open gaming rather than a tournament environment. Next Game Summit, when we have more experience with the game, perhaps, but for now, maybe use Game SUmmit to launch a small campaign or something?

I'm in with my British Army forces btw !

Alright, registered to their forum, so may take a while for me to be able to login, since admin needs to check it, and it isnt the busiest forum in the world :)

If anyone can post something up there for me regarding interest in FoW being played at Game SUmmit, that would be grand. Tables would be provided, not scenery or models, so just gaming, no tourney or anything. Scenery has to be painted, I'd like to see pics of the scenery as well.

Thanks

Den does this mean that you are now not playing the Warhammer tournament on Sat?
I believe George Takai put it best when he said "Oh my".
