See, that was my line of reasoning. GW hasn't come out and said
"Oh, yeah, and stop using Dogs of War and Chaos Dwarfs, because we say so." As for dated-ness of the rules, yes, Chaos Dwarfs are a bit dated, but the DoW rules are actually pretty usable. I mean the actual Dogs of War army, though, not the Regiments of Renown. And even though Chaos Dwarfs are a little old, they still seem like a functional army. That's just what I think though.
I guess in the end it really does come down to who you're up against. But like I said, I don't have either of these armies collecting dust at home. I was just curious.
I always thought it would be cool to put a hireling wizard in with my dwarfs though.
