Hey everyone. After seeing that dreadlord on dragon model, I wrote up a list to use it in. As always please keep the comments constructive Thanks for reading !

So the witches, warriors hydras and repeaters will be the main thrust with the dread lord causing havoc among the enemies lines right from turn 2 (maybe turn 1 if they go first). I know warmachines will definatly be a pain to deal with, but hopefully 2 units of harpies and shades and a unit of dark riders will help in that regard, put it this way, they better hit my dragon with a cannon turn one since after that..... Anyway, let me know what you think

List looks pretty solid however I would like to mention that you might want to consider the assassin with man bane and rending stars (additional hand weapon as well of course) if you are worried about monsters. stand and shoot plus your attacks in close combat can potentially become 7 wounds that have a lot better chance of wounding than attacks with the venom sword (str 7/6 vs 4). also best not to forget that a lot of the monsters have a save now so str4 has an even harder time killing them. those are just my two cents though use what you like.

Yeah I see your point, if I conbined the shades into one unit then I could put the assasin in there and maybe go monster hunting lol.

Manebane and rending starts together are also alot more flexible than the venom sword, and putting him the unit of shades makes that a hard hitting unit regardless of what your hunting.

I would suggest that you make the dreadlord on the dragon more offense based than defense, I found even with just the pendant on him people would ignore him to just hit the dragon. I used to kit my lord on dragon out with Pendant, potion of strength, and heart seeker.

That gave him str 7 for one combat with re-rolls to hit and wound always, and he still had the reverse ward and a 3+save(2+ now with new ridden monster rules).

But we should seriously have a game some time, though it will be awhile before I get the dragon, gonna spend my money to bring my wolves to a comfortable 1850 for Game summit =)
