Warhammer 40,000 Tournament

just doesnt feel like 40k, IMO victory points would make more sense then the way the 2 kill point missions are set up (just make it that you get the vp only if you wipe the unit).

and for the kill point mission where you have to kill the expensive units, u could just make the most expensive unit worth double VP's. just seems more logical to be set up in this fashion.

Not a bad suggestion. I'll ask Shah to take a look and see what he thinks.

The whole KP thing doesn't feel like 40k at all. It forces players to change how they build and play their lists if they wanted to be competitive. The other issue is, has the changes been balanced? Some armies will have a much hard time dealing with this change, and others won't be affected. MostCodex's where balanced based on Killpoints and missions as they are now.

I'm still deciding if I should attend the Skirmish, or not. Details about the Heavy Gear tournament haven't been posted either.

Hey guys,

To reply to those who have asked questions and given constructive suggestions, thanks and here is what we have come up with. The mission "Looks Expensive..." has been adjusted/simplified to just the most expensive unit being worth 2 KP and the cheapest beign worth 0KP and "Tank Hunting or Kill the Big Ones" has been replaced with "I Remember 3rd, Do You?". We would like to thank Sallieman for these mission suggestions. And thank those who supported the original release.

If you have more clarification questions and/or constructive suggestions they are welcome.

Just a minor note:

On the rules for Scoring Breakdown, underneath it repeatedly spells Break as Brake.

Also, I do remember 3rd. I remember that if you knocked a squad down to 50%, it counted for 50% of it's points. Also, units that are falling back/pinned at the end of the game, but on the table, do they count for VP? You may want to add that on the rules for clarity.

Finally, do we have to print off a copy of this and bring it with us?

This is in the 5th ed rulebook, as it states any unit falling back at the end of the game counts as being destroyed.

Sallieman hit the head on the nail for the question on fleeing units.

As for bringing in copies of the missions, those will be supplied at the tournament. :D

Typos happen, will correct

it is all or nothing, trying to be more streamlined to allow for easier math and faster results.
