The old rules made the missions unique and more interesting then regular 40k, hence being in a tourney with special missions. If only 3 people are posting complaints that probably means a lot of others like the missions as they were.

i'm remind of what my teachers used to tell me in high school

"if something doesn't make sense to you, say something there are probably 5 other people who where just confused and are too afraid to say anything"

now i see people complaining and now one saying there ok with this

I gave it 24 hours before replying to this... I waited for the silent majority to reply with how much they loved the initial missions... I guess they're at best indifferent.

It's one thing to say that you yourself preferred the ways the missions were, it's a whole other to claim that everyone else must have too because they didn't post anything negative about them. Specious reasoning my friend.. I have a rock that keeps tigers away.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I was questioning why missions were being changed based on a few people whining that the missions will weaken their armies, without the input of anyone else.

ok fine, it won't weaken my army to have this rule, it's a bad idea as it messes with the core rule, witch having run a couple of turnie's i know is NOT a good idea unfortunately most people are at best indifferent

On the subject of core rules tourneys adjust them all the time. The ETA fantasy system changes rules for every army and the core rules and yes your right they do cause problems but that's when they are not disclosed at first. In this case they are so problems can be avoided. Plus changing the rules for a mission makes it more interesting as a tourney.

You're apparently the only one who preferred them in their original incarnation.

Okay guys, can we get back on topic before this thread gets derailed anymore.

June 18th more adjustments to missions, mainly for clarity and to avoid objective placement issues on the day of.
July 14th updates for typos in general rules and clarity in "I remember 3rd"
july 26th more clarifications to I remember 3rd and looks expensive.

notice the underlined and bolded, comments were asked to be given. Also with the assumption that rules could be modified based on peoples comments.

I'm not saying stop with the comments, I'm just saying when you ask falcon a question and he gives an answer, don't wage war against the guy because you don't like the way he ruled. I'm not trying to be the bad guy here, but what I'm seeing a lot is 1 or 2 guys harassing falcon to change a ruling that he already made because it doesn't quite suite their particular list

Keep the constructive comments coming as that was and still is the main purpose of this thread.

Cheers Nick

Don't see how im waging war against TRF! My oppinion was asked for on how i thought the missions were. This is where i bow my cap and wish you all good luck then...
