Another point I want to bring up, is that the option of 6 games at 1250 points? That's just me tho!

I'm also a fan of the 1250 list but, because of the way the game currently works, not all armies are at their best at that point level. It's not likely to happen.

I know some people I'm sure would rather play 3 games at 2500 points

That's not likely to happen, either. 2500 points almost makes a 6x4 table too small, and we're not going to start building all new 8x4 tables.

ok i don't enjoy 1500pt games as much as 1750+ and don't want to fork out $50+ for it (on top of the $200 it cost me to get the day off/babysitting) that's all given the choice i prefer the larger number this may have something to do with me never not finishing a game/going fewer than 5 turns in a tournament but hay the wind is blowing against me and that is fine

One thing to bear in mind: As this is a qualifier tournament for the GT in Vegas, which is 1850 points, is it wise to run something at 1500? Or does it matter?

Doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned. Are there any rules set down by GW saying that you must qualify at 1850 to be eligible for Vegas?

But honestly, 1500 sounds good. I may be misremembering ehre, but didn't Hall of Heroes tournaments at St L have varying points levels?

I would suggest that, going forward, that all Golden Marine tournaments be held at 1337 points.
