To preface this it is a doubles tourney and we are both ork, my partners list will be a little morebattle wagon and boyz and lootas last time we were working out lists...

1500 pts badmoons

Warboss PK, boss pole, eavy armour, TL shoota, cybork 110pts

Warkopta red paint scorcha TL rattlercannon 80pts (warboss and nobz go in here)

Nobz (9) eavy armour and cybork, tyring to keep em somewhat different... 380 pts
2PK , 1 painboy, 1 whag banner, 1 big choppa, 1 kombi scorcha, boss pole

Boyz 20 strong nob PK boss pole and 2 Big shootas 170pts

Boyz 20 strong nob PK boss pole and 2 Big shootas 170pts

Battle wagon Big Shoota, red paint, grot riggers,reinforced ram, Zapp gun 125pts

Bikers 11 strong nob with PK and boss pole 315pts

Burnas 10 strong one Mek with KMB 150 pts (in the battle wagon)


so what you all thinking?

Well here's my two cents

Your warboss is 5pts over, unless you forgot to mention eavy armor

I'd drop the rattler kannon, the deffgun is better IMO (you can potentially pop vehicles with it) and you'll save 10pts

You could take that 10pts and give out some big choppas and or eavy armor on the pk's. If there's anyway to get thes guys cybork bodies I highly reccomend it.

I wish the battle wagon had a deffrolla but it seems your buddy has that covered. The zap gun doesn't seem worthwhile IMO. I'd suggest red paint job and armoured plates.

The burna wagon is ok, you can only move 6 inches and fire so I think it's worth taking red paint job at least.

this tourney is cool if it allows warcopters.

I'd say get a deffrolla on your battlewagon, its just too good not to have. The zzap gun is fun if you've got the extra points, but be prepared for it to not do anything (as its firing with the battlewagons BS of 2, unlike artillery zzap guns).

Grot Riggers, man! even if you don't want extra armor, the 5 points you pay for grot riggers is some of the best value you can get with the orks. everyone is jealous of the ability to repair immobilization with a 4+. put them in everything they can go in (except kan squads)

in my haste to post i missed a few things the nobs to have cybork and eavy armour as does the eavy armour sit apon the warboss...

the rattler cannon may be expensive but adds the WTF factor when you tell your opponent so its staying for that as my half of the army are supposed to go down fast drawing fire from the real meat grinder of my partners more competative meatgrinder wagon list and with 24 deff guns already on teh table adding one seems alittle over kill for light vehicle take down..

i have a question about the zap gun on the battlewagon if i were to roll up a 4 for str will it tehn be a defensive weapon? red paint on the battle wagon would be a nice addition you are right there pehapse i can find the points...

perhapse if i drop the mek in teh burna squad that will give me 15 pts to drop red paint and grot riggers also a boss pole for a nob, thanks guys... Keep it coming

The zap gun was only worth it back when they hit automatically. If you want the ability to kill armor the kannon is the best bang for the buck. It costs the same as a rokkit launcha but has a better range and the ability to fire a small blast.

I think you should keep the burnas unless you plan on putting one of the boys squads in the battewagon.

Just curious but how long are the rounds in this tourney?

i think the round lenght is 2 hours and yes the boys may be going in depending on the mission but likley it will be all burna all the time!!

yeah a test game or two will dictate the zap guns staying or going...

The most recent faq for the orks says no, its not defensive in that case.

i really like the new list

I would have to agree that the Kannon would be better than the Zzap gun
but really its up to you

i dont like having to pick a target before knowing the STR of the weapon

Oh I love your partners list...lol

I know Greg will be playing Grey Knights, and using a paladin squad worth over 700pts

If we double team him with our burna squads each then he should lose the entire squad, it will either be in a LR or a Storm raven

Im hoping he goes with the Raven, so my Loota's can bring it down
