Nice. I'm glad to see they cleared up alot of the confusion that people had over the Royal Court options for Necrons.

I'm a little surprised that they're allowing the Chronometron to be used with Imotekh's Lord of the Storm power though. I assumed the clarification would go the other way.

A: No. He can decide after each To Hit or To Wound roll
but he must re-roll all dice or no dice.

Well no more warp time for me as that is not worth the points and test.

Obviously FAQs shouldn't be used to balance books but it just went from bad to worse for the spiky ones.

I am more surprised they allow two royal court to be added to the same squad. I like the ruling though, as it does give more synergy to the necron list making.

To Be fair this was always my interpretation,

but it would have been nice if they clarified it the other way to may the book a little bit better..

Somebody at GW must have been molested by the Chaos 3.5 ed dex, and decided that Chaos would suck from now on and forever...

It's been years since I looked (bought the book but never played much w/ it) but ya, if I recall correctly, GW traditionally has ruled on the side of all-or-nothing for the rerolls.

Q: When a unit of 10 Space Marines with the Combat
Squad special rule arrives from reserve as two combat

two different locations? (p23)
A: Yes.

To me as I read it. It doesn't say u can combat squad after deep striking. It says the combat squads that were in the unit count as one for the roll. But can basically deploy anywhere. So basically I'm saying u still have to declare the combat squad in deployement when u state there deepstriking or going in reserve. Only exception is still the pod. Because if they forced you to declare in deploymen when a squad is in a pod they would not be able to enter the pod as 2 seperate units. Therefore pods and only pods are exempt.

Basically its:
Step 1) Roll for the 10 dudes together as one unit.
Step 2) Deploy the unit as two combat squads.

That's the way I've always played it. Some were arguing that you can't ever combat squad except when you start the game on the board because the way the drop pod FAQ entry was written. Which was retarded. And now its officially retarded, thanks to GW.

Actually, that one made sense to me. The wording on the Royal Court is rather specific, and it's not like it's an unfair advantage given the Necrons' shortcomings. (ie, CC weaknesses).

The other thing to figure is that normally at least one of the members from a court would be a Necron Lord with an Orb.

I am SO glad they've come to their senses about SitW and psykers in transports. It's very strange that they've decided to make a tyrant and his guard one KP. Oh well, way better for me!
