Hey folks so this is the list I've built with my Templars and I thought I'd see what you lot thought about it.

HQ:
Emperor's Champion - Accept any Challenge, No Matter the Odds.

Troops:
7 Initiates: PF, Meltagun.
1 Neophyte
-Rhino: EA, Smoke.

8 Initiates: PF, Meltagun.
2 Neophytes
-Rhino: EA, Smoke.

Elites:
5 Assault Terminators: FC
-Landraider Crusader: Smoke

Fast Attack:
Landspeeder Typhoon

I think for my options its fairly strong. 3 Meltaguns, 1 Multimelta, 6 Missiles, 1 Assault Cannon, 3 Heavy Bolters and a whole bunch of CC goodness. Comments welcome and thanks for reading.

Another idea I just thought of for fun...and because I think Dreads look cool is:

Thats alot of dread, It'll be bloodly marry all over again. Altough it may end up being the better way to go.

I like the second list. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass to deal with. I think the extra armor is not needed. Id drop it and get something else or beef up the squads. I thought extra armor was important until i stopped taking it on rhinos and then you realize its not needed on them at all.

But I remember extra armor used to cost 5 points in the old marine dex, so if its only costing you 5 points each you may aswell keep it on.

The EA in the BT codex is still just 5pts yeah but I make for it having the 50pt Rhinos lol.

So the Dread list is the better looking eh? Looks like I'll have to expand and get 3 Dreads when I can lol. Either way I do have the first list built so its what I'm currently running. Thanks for the input folks and I'll think about that EA it would give me 30 points in the second list, unless you were saying it's just not important on the transports?

While I like dreads in general, that config is not ideal. Can BT have twin autocannon dreads?

What is wrong with the config of these boys? Twin Las for tank popping while coming up the field while still having the CCW/HF for troops that get too close.

They do benefit from Accept any challenge, no matter the odds. so having the CC is nice I think.

Well I thought they were the crazy overcosted price of the SM venerables, but they are much cheaper than that, aren't they?

I would still change the config to TL-las, missile launcher, venerable, tank hunter veteran skill. Twin-linked S10 shot + S9 backup when shooting at tanks for 165 pts, I think? Not bad.

That would be totally awesome and I would totally have to agree with you on it. Though isn't TH only +1 to the damage result and not the wespons strength characteristic?
