Started with Ultras since Rogue Trader and still have them. Still my favourite but I've loved The Flesh Tearers ever since the Index Astartes rules and fluff for them. Will be playing them at GS. Dabbled with daemon hunters, guard armoured company, dark angels.

Necrons and White Scars for me.

I've been collecting Tyranids for quite a while though, and built up a bit of an Ork list from the AoBR units.

Necrons have been a hell of alot more interesting to play since the new codex came out. hehe.

Necrons (main force, ~8000 points available, ~4000 points painted to table-top standard)

Crimson Fists and Death Guard are my first and main 40k armies. Also have Imperial Guard, Dark Angles, Space Wolves, Tyranids, and am building an Astral Claws force. I love Space Marines and some flavour of them will always be my main army.

Dark Angels and Sisters of Battle since the start of 3rd Edition back in '98.
(and yes, the Sisters are still not painted!)
Had Tyranids for a few years until I realised that I really don't like moving that many models.

Started with Tau back in mid-4th edition (since before Tau got their 4e dex. I still miss Aun Shi and Farsight's army-boost), and got into Space Wolves near the end of 4th (IIRC. I got at least two of the Battleforces). I branched into Orks soon after that (Black Reach was awesome), and I've cycled through them since. I've got a Space Sharks army mostly built (It'll get painted... eventually), and I may just start an Imperial Fists army, since I've got some models already painted that way and a bunch of Bolter marines just sitting around.

I plan on having a small Thousand Sons +Fabius Bile CSM list (Using mind-controlled Space Wolves), but haven't had the time to do anything more than get most of a defiler built.
40K Armies Played: Space Wolves, Space Sharks, Orks, Tau, eventually CSM (MSons + Bile)
Blood Bowl: Ought'Ta WAAAGH Roughriderz (Orcs), The North Spire Wendigoes (Norse) Iron-Wrath Krakens (Chaos Dwarfs, WIP), Scarlet Fliers (Dark Elves, WIP)
Heavy Gear Blitz/Arena: Peace River Defence Force, Paxton Gears in Arena
Necromunda: MacGuffin's Marauders (Van Saar)
Malifaux:Built: C.Hoffman Boxed: Rasputina, Pertitia, some extra models for both

(I'm Mike, by the way. Easier to remember than Tokkan, probably. DEFINITELY easier to pronounce)

My main is Eldar for the moment. Waiting on their new codex before deciding what to do with them. I've had Blood angels, Orks, Chaos marines, Chaos Daemons, Dark Eldar and that's pretty much it.

I've sold most of these armies through the years. I now only have Eldar and chaos marines. I'm enjoying painting my chaos marines but I'm not feeling their gameplay much. I enjoy the mono eldar list (cause that's what they've got really) but I'm not enjoying painting them much.

For me its very hard to say with so much to choose from.I'm debating between Orks, Nids, Necrons, Battle Sisters & lastly Space "Barians".

Guess for now its marines as my "main army" of choice, been in more draws then wins, actually i dont ever remember winning with them, not even once.

Guard and Blood Angels currently. Tinkering with the idea of Death Guard but not concrete yet.

Been playing guard since I first started many moons ago (what can I say, I love tanks) and have been playing BA's since late 3rd ed.

In the past I have played (and sold off):
-Black Templar (back when their rules where part of the Armageddon codex)
-Dark Angels (a very short stint with a completed army I got for a criminal price)
-Ultramarines (my first marine army back in 2nd ed.)
-Catachan (I can't believe that horrible excuse for a codex was actually printed...)
-Tyranids (2nd ed. when they where practically all metal)
-Biel Tan Eldar (the only part of the old craftworld codex I miss)
-Necrons (like the Dark Angels I got the army for a steal fully painted and ready to play but sold it within 6 months for a significant profit)
-Tau (hopped on the bandwagon when they first came out in 3rd ed. but sold them before 4th.)
-Orks (both green tide and speed freaks; different armies, years apart)
