Need info

A game for those who like their World War II re-enactments very, very small.

Need info

Hello FoW Community,

I was wondering a few little things.
1) Where do you guys generaly play? I ask because my LGS doesn't have a huge community of players and I would like to know where the games are played before investing. It's hard to get into a game to learn that you have 45 minute drive everytime you want to play a game...

2) Do you have a game night where all players gather to play or do you organise games sporadically. If option 2, how do you go about scheduling a game?

3) I would like to assist a game and ask veteran players some questions. I know Garis has invited me on 1 or 2 occasions but it's hard for me to go to Petawawa for a whole day. I mean, I'm looking for a local game so that I may be there for a few hours. So the question is this, would 2 players like to get a game going at my LGS (FDB)? We have people interested in starting the game but no one really knows the rules 100% yet.

Let me know and thanks for the info.

We have a core group that plays at our residences. While this has some obvious advantages, like Beer, and stopping when we/wives kick us out, space is naturally limited.

However, and i have posted this before, I have a duffle bag of terrain, and I live downtown. I can play anywhere downtown, so long as I have notice to convince the wife!

So I have no problems whatsoever going in to FDB when they have gaming time/space available for us. In the past, folks have PMed me and we arrange a game at Fd2, but I would prefer going somewhere more friendly to the cause!

Let me know what day is best, when they are open until and so on, and I can swing by. I can bring 2 armies even, to have some guys who are interested but haven't sunk in for models yet to give it a go.

What are you doing next Tuesday? I could be there at 6:30ish and would like to try a game. You'd need to bring your 2 armies though (as I don't have one.... Yet)

As for FDB, they are open from noon until 8pm. However, they don't kick people out until 10 or 11pm if they don't make 2 much noise.

Wednesdays are a little more 40K and Warmachine. Tuesdays are more Malifaux and whatever. In all honesty, Tuesdays aren't busy and you can always get a table. Not so much for Wednesdays.

For the next little while, there is a 40K league going on. The layers meet on Wednesdays. So if you can make it on Tuesday, I'll have a table reserved and we can get cracking.

As for you Crisaron, I'll post on our forum to see if any other player can make it. Also, if other Ottawa players read this, we would be very happy and honored to host you're gamming need. Thus, should anyone of you accept Crisarons challenge, we could have 2 games going next Tuesday.

What era are you guys thinking about? I'd have to build a few things to make sure I had 2 decent lists for both germans and allies in MW and LW (Mid and Late war)

LW has the most interest with MW comming in second. I've not heard any interest for EW.

Alright. MW is probably the easiest to do for me modelwise, but I can do LW Brits vs Germans if you dont mind seeing a few oddly painted Brit vehicles.. I am repainting some vehicles to be US... so the halftracks and shermans would be in various stages of paint. Next tuesday, Ill have to get the OK from the wife, but apart from that, I could be there at 530 roughly. Someone want to let the FDB guys know we're coming?
