Questions from a Newb

A game for those who like their World War II re-enactments very, very small.

ive dealt with Skytex before they are ok. the sculpts arnt as nice as battlefront but they are cheaper (detail is slightly less and because they are all metal the casting on tanks can sag some times). the inf are slightly skinnier but if you mix them in with battlefront no one notices. (did this with my Luftwaffe) otherwise they are fine. my dad has an entire american army. the only thing is when you get at guns the crew are seperate.

Hello!

Thanks for all the help. I've gone ahead and ordered the British Para Company from battlefront, as well as some Old Glory miniatures to compare. This is the 600pt list I've come up with to start:

Company HQ:
w/ 1 PIAT Teams @855

Para Platoon:
w/ 3 Rifle Squads @ 240

Para Platoon
w/ 2 Rifle Squads @175

Mortor Platoon
w/ 1 section @95

=595

One question:
The Airlanding company shows Rifle/MG squads with 4 para's per base and the para teams with 5. What is the point of this? Does is actually matter in terms of gaming? I just don't want to make up the squads wrong.

Thanks

go 4 per base. Easiest and most common. I think Im the only sucker with 5 to a base for all three full Inf Platoons haha

5 to a base usually doesn't look as good either, unless you are doing Russians. That's purely from a visual perspective though.

the 4 or 5 on a base is used to tell the difference between platoon types in airlanding/para scenarios. the 5 per base needing to get to their canisters to use weapons and the 4 needing to roll their airlanding saves at the beginnig of the battle for gliders. i think that its used mainly in mid and early war now though (its a throw back from first edition that they havnt taken out)

Keep in mind that box might reflect an outdated squad organization. Ultimately, you should look at your army book (V2 or V3 books are better) and see how many models per team (base) you need.

Does anyone know how often Fandom gets stock in? When I was there they had very few kits, and almost no british stuff.
Is this the norm?

The stock ins for Fandom2 have always seemed a mistery to me....
