Help me Obi Wan

A game for those who like their World War II re-enactments very, very small.

Help me Obi Wan

You're my only (list) hope

Hey gang, I need some help. I have yet to play any games with the US. Here are the models I have that I can paint within a reasonable time frame.
Help me out: Here is my first 1500 MW list (North Africa pricing)

Tank Company

HQ: 2 x M3 No Stabs 105pts
CP: 4 x M3 with Stabs 245pts
CP: 5 x M4 Sherman 575pts
WP: ARP 2 bazookas 195pts (ARP = Armored Rifle Platoon)
WP: ARP 2 bazookas 195pts
SP: 3 x M7 Priests 185pts

1500 even.

I am debating whether to take just one ARP, max out on Bazookas, which would save me 130 points.
or taking Armored Rifle Company, with tanks as support. The problem I keep running into is the
whole 5 platoons thing.

Other models I have: 4 x M10s, an HMG section, another 3 Stuarts (10 total, in case I wanted to
run some list that has the 2 Tank Platoons as Stuarts only)

What do you suggest?

Is there any way you could take a full Allied British 8 gun 25 pounder battery?

Not if I use them. Unless the Death Star used Nerf bullets.

Fun fact:

In French Internet subculture, "Obi-Wan Kenobi" became an expression meaning "your question does not make sense", and is said when one does not know what to answer but wants to respond in an amusing way. It was popularised by Les Guignols de l'info, which made a parody of the French version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in which for every question, the fourth choice was invariably "Obi-Wan Kenobi" (and the question invariably nonsense). Humorous multiple choice questionnaires made on the internet since often featured an "Obi-Wan Kenobi" option.

I fought Marty's American Armored list yesterday. Against Germans it should do well!

Problem here though, is a lot of the bite my list has, is lost on Dennis'. Despite my recommendations (grrr) the ARP squads aren't maxed on bazookas. This brings up two significant weaknesses IMO. First the squad doesn't have near the fear factor if tanks try to assault it. Two CT bazookas aren't scary, 5 are!!

Secondly this drops your squad size to 11. Not bad per se, but with CT the 14 stand platoon has serious staying power!

Also his HQ are the low end Stuart's, not near as scary or survivable as Sherman's in MW.

Finally the M3 Stuarts are just...Bleh. Pay the points, grab m5s, I'll even lend you a unit if you need them and you can paint them to match your army.

Stay away from M10s...way to pricey for what they do.

Oh and try to hit 6 platoons. Drop the priests, use Armoured mortars, whatever.

In missions when you can start with only half on the board, 3 tank platoons can usually break the enemy by turn three.
